Read some of the reviews - here's a hint - the dough won't be soft or tacky if you start with cold butter.
Love this recipe! Made it once and tossed out my favorite snickerdoodle recipe! These are great when warm but better the next day - they stay soft thanks to the honey. My family loves them! Don't be intimidated by rope rolling - once you do it, it's simple. I drop them with a cookie scoop, roll into a rope, drop the rope into a pie plate with the cinn/sugar and shake it to coat. Transfer to a cookie sheet and swirl into shape - EASY!

Tips: I rolled the dough into a large ball and cut in half until I had 32 chunks, then put them in the fridge to stiffen a bit. Take out 8 at a time to roll into logs. Otherwise the dough is a little too soft to work with. They turned out perfectly beautiful this way!

The dough was a bit difficult to work with but seemed to do o.k. as long as the log wasn't too thin or they would break when put into a roll. I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the chocolate drizzle. I ended up throwing away the first batch because it seized when I added the honey. I thought my chocolate was old, so we tried a fresh batch. It hardened when the honey was added, so my husband added a bit of shortening until it was a good consistency to drizzle. In the future, I would probably just make a powdered sugar glaze for them. We liked the flavor of the cookies and will make again... with a few modifications.

As other people mentioned the dough crumbled and it was a little confusing in the directions on how to assemble. But all in all they tasted pretty good, I'm not a fan of the icing and the cooking time for my oven just wasn't right so my cookies came out kind of crispy rather than gooey like expected. I wouldn't make again simply because of the irritation I got from the dough breaking so much and being such a hassle. Great taste and look though!

I made these Christmas eve for family and everyone loved them! Instead of using white chocolate for the drizzle, I made more of a typical cinnamon roll drizzle.

These cookies are a NIGHTMARE to make! Just like others said, the dough is way too crumbly and extremely difficult to roll into shape without breaking apart. The taste was fine but certainly no better than regular snickerdoodles. I finally begged my husband to help me finish rolling them and by the time we were done, we didn't even care about making the icing. Never making again!
