Microwaved Seasoned Broccoli Spears Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 cups frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Place broccoli in a large microwave-safe bowl. Combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over broccoli; toss to coat. Cover and microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Yield: 5 servings.

Not sure why this recipe is called spears when it's all florets...but the name error didn't stop me from making it! Very delicious indeed! I used a 12 oz bag of fresh florets (which has 6 cups in it), regular salt (because I didn't have onion salt home), and Italian seasoning (since I didn't have plain thyme home). Oh soooo good!

way easy...and so good. the added flavors will make you want seconds...on broccoli! imagine that.

This was really yummy! I used a combination of fresh broccoli and fresh cauliflower instead of frozen broccoli. My husband, who doesn't even like cauliflower went back for more! I will definately make this again and again and again.
