With three children, I need dishes that are sure to satisfy. This has been a family favorite ever since a co-worker shared the recipe.— Karin Ptak, Elburn, Illinois

Love the basic idea of this recipe. Would change the meat to a seasoned sausage and the cheese to shredded pizza cheese blend to make it more like pizza. Otherwise, it was a good and easy meal for the family. They said they wanted me to make it again.

I reduced the size of this recipe to make it for two--my boyfriend and I. I sauteed the beef and onion with green pepper and fresh garlic before tossing it into the casserole, and then added chopped fresh tomato as well. I topped the casserole with a blend of bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs, and then laid whole pepperonis on top as allaboutcookies86 suggested to mimic the look of a pizza. I used about a quarter of the cheese the recipe called for. We will definitely be making this one again.

I made this casserole for my husband who LOVES pizza and it is very good. It does taste like a pizza. The one thing I changed because we really like cheese is to make it more like pizza I put the cheese it called for in it, but I also put another bag of cheese on top of it after I transfered the ingredients into the dish. It came out very good and VERY cheesy. The more cheese the better! Also next time I may take some of the pepperoni's and put them on top of the cheese I added to the top (just for the looks of a pizza). I can't wait to make it again!
