Marinated Sirloin Steak
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce 4 teaspoons steak sauce 1 tablespoon lime juice 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot 1 garlic clove, minced 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 boneless beef top sirloin steak (3/4 pound)
In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Pour 1/4 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting. Coat grill rack with cooking spray before starting the grill. Drain and discard marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat for 8-11 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°), basting frequently with reserved marinade.
Yield: 2 servings.
