My family loves the flavor of French toast in the morning. So for a little variety, we like to replace maple syrup with this slightly sweet topping.

My sister and I made this and it was okay. My sister melted the butter so then it was separated from the maple syrup which was gross! After letting it firm back up, we put it on our French toast for breakfast. Most of my family liked it! I might make it again, but we will make sure NOT to melt the butter next time. I am not sure it was worth the little bit of extra work to mix together the butter and maple syrup when we can just pour it on separate.
