Lemon Sauce for Seafood Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 teaspoons white all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoons ground cayenne (red pepper)

Directions

  • Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in flour to form smooth paste.
  • Gradually stir in milk; bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat, cook 2 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice, salt, cayenne pepper.
