I used a sugar free lemon pound cake instead of lady fingers because I could not find lady fingers. I also used sugar free lemon Jello. So the only sugar I used was what it called for. This made an almost sugar free and legal for diabetics. Every one loved it and I made it 3 times in less than a week. Great!!!!!

I made this recipe and the taste was great, but I found the centre to be too soft (on the second day) and the remainder was falling off the Ladyfingers...Any suggestions?? I use all the ingredients as directed.

I used low-fat (1%) evaporated milk to make this recipe and it turned out delicious! My husband's all-time favorite pie is lemon meringue and this is about as close as you can get to it; but this recipe is much easier and healthy!

Super recipe which I made lighter by using sugar free lemon gelatin and light topping. This would even be great made in a mold and without the ladyfingers.

The center was to Airy, had very little taste.Tried it because of Summer, and you didn't have to bake it. Won't make it again.

Will certainly be making this again! It was gone so fast I barley had time to get some for myself. Thanks for this..it's a keeper. BTW, I'm with you Ms.V, I agree wholeheartedly.

This recipe gives the diabetic exchange, but I don't understand why people think you should spend your money and do THEIR job of keeping THEIR food intake within THEIR LIMITS. Adults should be able to think and do for themselves.

I'm with Patinstimo on this one, also being diabetic , which I'm sure many others are, you really need to try the recipes with diabetic friendly ingredients,(splenda, light cool whip, sugar free puddings and gelatin, and so on) so we diabetics, especially those of us where money can not be thrown away, know that it is worth buying and making with honest diabetic alternative's.

I need this info before I can try the recipe. If you're going to continue to label recipes as "Diabetic Friendly", you'll need to offer alternate ingredients (Splenda for sugar, e.g.) and whether substituting sugar-free gelatin or pudding products for "regular" will affect how the recipe turns out. Things are too expensive these days to just guess and hope we're not wasting our money. Can anyone help with these things on this recipe and with recipes in general from now on? Thanx.

I make this delicious recipe a lot during the warmer months and sometimes use key lime instead of lemon and it's equally wonderful. Requested by family a lot!
