I used chicken kielbasa to cut down on the fat and sprayed the pan with spray oil to cut down on calories and fat. My husband doesn't like kielbasa but he enjoyed this dish and would eat it again. I loved the sweet taste the brown sugar added.

I was looking for a recipe I could use red kidney beans in and this fit the bill. I minced the veggies and cut the sausage a little smaller. Then I put it over cooked rice. My family LOVED it!! This is going into the family recipe book.

My husband isn't a big fan of casserole-type dinners, but he gave this dish two thumbs up.
