Jif Crispy Treats Recipe

Ingredients

  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 3 tbsps. butter
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions

  • Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  • Add peanut butter. Stir until well blended. Add cereal. Stir until well coated. Press into prepared pan. Cool completely. Cut into 24 pieces. Yield: 24 pieces.

It's good but two things I want to mention. First is to stir and put in the baking QUICKLY or they will harden in the pan. Also they just taste better if you use a less healthy peanut butter. Like regular Jif. Ive used healthier and they just arent as good.

Have made this, but used Cherrios instead. My kids love Cheerios!

I make this recipe often and always make it in the microwave. After the marshmallows are melted I stir in the peanut butter and microwave for an additional 10 - 15 seconds. Then stir in cereal. The only cereal my family wants in these cookies are Cocoa Krispies! The peanut butter and Coca Krispies are irresistible!

This recipe is simple, easy to make, and my family absolutely loves it. It's a keeper, for sure, and one we'll make many more times.
