My sister-in-law made these for my daughter's graduation open house. They were a hit with our guest.

I made this recipe for a potluck at work and they were gone in no time. Seems to be a favorite with guys. I can see these served doing football gameday on tv.

I add a shrimp and spice the shrimp, with a cajun spice mix, on the cream cheese then wrap in bacon. OMG, can't get enough. This is the first time I have seen a recipe for them, the neighborhood always says to enter them in a contest or submit the recipe, glad someone finally did. We stumbled upon the idea bu trying ot jazz up plain poppers, so why not add bacon and shrimp and kick it up a notch.

The best appetizer in the history of life! (No joke) Have made these just for dinner sometimes. Just awesome. If you're worried about the heat from the peppers, don't. The cream cheese and bacon lessen the heat considerably. I use a full piece of bacon for each pepper as halving the bacon for each pepper like the recipe says leaves it a little short but it's possible the person who submitted the recipe used smaller jalapenos than we have access to here. This is as good as it gets!

My family and friends love these! I use my own variation and add shredded cheese in with my cream cheese and I wrap them in maple flavored bacon. So yummy!

Oh so delicious! Personally, I don't think each half needs 2 tsp cream cheese. I prefer around 1. But do whatever you like!

Throw these on the grill with a few wood chips to give them a smoky flavor. It puts the flavor right over the top. You can't make enough.PersonBig Smile

Where in this receipe does it call for Tony's Chachere's spice

Reviewed on May. 02, 2008 by brinnikk2

SOrry. It's the Tony Chachere's More Spioe Blend. But our regular grocery store doesn't carry it. We find it at Academy Sports in their camping section

Reviewed on May. 02, 2008 by brinnikk2

DH makes these only he uses onion and chive flavored cream cheese. Then, he'll sprinkle Tony's Casseri(sp?) on top.
