One of our all-time favourite pasta dishes! Everyone loves this - just as good as any restaurant pasta dish. Its easy to make and makes lots (much more than the 5 servings stated in the recipe).

This is very good! With all of that cream, how could it not be! I used ground sausage because I didn't realize until after I made this, that the photo shows link sausage. Nonetheless, it is very tasty. My sauce was a bit too runny, so I did a shaker of milk and flour to thicken it up. Also, don't skimp on the spices as you want a very bold sauce that gets weakened as soon as you toss it with the bland pasta. Bold sauce+bland pasta=perfect balance. I will make this again and again!

This recipe is absolutely AMAZING and so easy to make! It's definantly a household favorite. I wouldn't suggest mixing all of the noodles in at once though. I usually only use about half of a package when I make it, the flavor of the meat mixture is just too good to outweigh by the noodles, and I substitute pesto for the basil since I've always got some around. Also, since I have a hard time finding Italian sausage, I just buy a pound of regular pork sausage and add italian seasoning while browning.The flavor is miraculous.

This was excellent, but, I did make a couple of changes to make it a little healthier. Instead of 1-1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream, I only used 1/2 a cup of heavy whipping cream, then added in 1 cup of half and half. I also added in fresh cooked asparagus - it was sooo yummy. thinking of trying it with broccoli as well.

This was so good! It has a little kick to it so I'm glad I didn't buy the hot sausage. A little messy to make but well worth it!

When I started this recipe, I thought I had all the ingredients, as usually happens, I didn't. I only had one can of plain stewed tomatoes, so I added some chopped red and green pepper and tomato sauce and little Italian seasoning. It was still delicious even with the substitutions - my family loved it. I look forward to making it again, with the correct ingredients next time!

I made this recipe with tortellini instead of bow ties. It was good but needed more flavor, perhaps spicy Italian sausage, more garlic and more herbs.

This is hands down my son's favorite recipe. If I ask him what he wants for dinner, this is what he asks for. I cut down on the fat by using part evaporated milk. I usually cook at least 3 batches of the sausage mixture and freeze 2 portions with my food saver. Then it is so quick to mix up the next couple of times I make it. I never drain the tomatoes. I

I have made this several times.I've used kielbasa in place of the Italian sausage and only 12 oz. instead of 16 oz. pasta. It's yummy! -Lori

 This is a favorite in my house.  We always have seconds for lunch the next day.  I have always made in per the recipe, so they would be bummed if I let out the cream.  I used half and half once...."this taste's different this time honey", but I think it would be healthier with our the cream.  I usually put less cream than called for (about 1/2) and it turns out great.  Made this many times.  Will try with the diced tomatoes next time, great idea!

I used Italian-style diced tomatoes and left out the milk entirely. It turned out wonderfully! This is a new favorite at our house.

my husband is Allergic to Milk

also he don't like the tast of milk would it change the tast of the recipe very much to leave it out

Yummy, yummy, yummy, and easy, easy, easy. This recipe is a keeper. I just read the comment above about not draining the stewed tomatoes, lol, I forgot to drain them, and the recipe still came out.  Next time I make it, I will drain the tomatoes so I can decide which way is better.

re: sodium count: suggest you check packages of items for sodium content, add numbers up and then divide by number of servings to get approximate count.

I make this all the time for our family. It is a terrific recipe - quick, easy, and delicious! To save even more time, I used Italian diced tomatoes instead. Then you just have to drain them - no chopping needed.
