An Irish meal wouldn't be complete without a lovely loaf of Irish Soda Bread. This recipe makes a beautiful high loaf of bread dotted with sweet raisins. It doesn't last long at our house this time of year. —Gloria Warczak, Cedarburg, Wisconsin

This was the first time we had soda bread and enjoyed it. I left out the raisins because we had it with dinner but next time will definetely try it with.

Best soda bread I've made in years. I added more raisins, but other than that, it was delicious.

Excellent soda bread! My Irish husband (who's usually not a huge fan of soda bread) loves it...says it's better than some of bread you get at home. I didn't have buttermilk, so substituted milk + vinegar, which worked out fine. And doubled the amount of raisins. This recipe will become a staple in our house, I predict.

Great bread. Not nearly as many raisins as the picture though. I may add more next time.

My family loves this soda bread I've been making it for years. The only thing I change is dried cranberry's instead of raisins as my children won't eat the raisins but they like the cranberry's
