Icy Holiday Punch Recipe

Icy Holiday Punch Recipe Icy Holiday Punch Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

It's easy and convenient to prepare the base of this slushy punch ahead. Its rosy color makes it so pretty for Christmas. I've also make it with apricot gelatin for a bridal shower. This fun beverage makes any occasion a bit more special.

I made this for an event at my church and have to laugh when getting compliments - I ask them if they could taste the "secret" ingredient (jello) and they can't believe it! They loved the slushiness of it. Great recipe - thanks for sharing!

I make this all the time, and I love it because it is inexpensive to make, unlike most punch recipes that call for a lot of juice concentrate. I have experimented and substituted vodka for some of the cold water for an adult ocassion. We also try different Jello flavors, and it's always a hit.

I freeze it in smaller containers so I always have some on hand. It has been a huge hit every time I have served it.

I make this punch for everything, changing jello, etc. I use only 3 cups cold water and 3 cups of an appropriate juice (orange juice, lemonade, fruit punch, etc). Also I omit the sugar. For my diabetic friends, I use sugar free jello and diet ginger ale. In the summer, I use 1 3 oz lemon jello and 1 3 oz lime jello for a lemon/lime flavor.

I just made this for our Family Holiday Party - Everyone commented on how good it was and several requested the recipe.

I've been making this punch for years and it's always a winner! Change the gelatin color/flavor to suit the occasion. I love to use orange or lime for Halloween.
