I was given this recipe by a friend in Louisiana, and brought it back to TX with me. Now I cannot attend a function without bringing it, or I am in BIG TROUBLE!! The only difference is that I saute a couple of minced pods of fresh garlic with the onion. Yummy and lite compared to most.
