I have never made a home made hot cocoa before, i always thought it to be time consuming and messy but it was very yummy and simple!! I will be making this again!

So much better than the boxed hot chocolate.

Tastes so good on cold evenings!!

I also had to add milk because it was too sweet. For some reason mine had a chalky taste. Not sure if it was the cocoa or what.

Why do people always change the recipe, and then claimthey don't like it. This is the kind of cocoa I grew up with, Delicious....No Coffee. It's' cocoa, for heaven's sake!

For me, it would have been better if it was not so sweet. I added extra milk to try and even it out a little. Otherwise it tasted good. I did not add almond flavoring and used black coffee instead of water. I will make again and cut back on the sugar.

I really didn't like the taste - something was missing. Wouldn't make again.

I made it with Splenda for a diabetic neighbor who had been in the hospital. He loved it and said it was the best he'd ever had.

I also added a sprinkle of Penzy's Baking Spice, which is really good on any hot cocoa or coffee.
