Honey Walnut Butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • Pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Apple wedges

Directions

  • Place walnuts and salt in a food processor. Cover and process until nuts are finely ground.
  • Add oil and honey; cover and process until mixture forms a smooth paste. Chill until serving. Serve with apple wedges. Yield: 3/4 cup.

Editor's Note: To toast nuts, spread in a 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 5-10 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Or, spread in a dry nonstick skillet and heat over low heat until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
