Honey Glazed Salmon Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 ounces honey
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne (red pepper)
  • 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Chinese 5-spice powder
  • 1-1/2 lb salmon fillet
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion

Directions

  • Preheat broiler.
  • Wash salmon and pat dry.
  • In small bowl, whisk vinegar, honey, and soy sauce. Transfer 1/4 C. of mixture to small microwave safe bowl. Set aside.
  • Blend red pepper, salt, and five spice powder. Massage spices into salmon.
  • Coat broiler pan with cooking spray. Place salmon, skin side down on broiler pan.
  • Place under broiler for 16 minutes or until fish is flaky. Baste with vinegar mixture during broiling.
  • Transfer salmon to serving platter.
  • Microwave reserved vinegar mixture on high for 20 seconds. Spoon over fish and garnish with onions.
