Harvest a bushel of compliments with a dazzling Thanksgiving Day dessert buffet!
To create pretty pedestals like the ones shown above, hunt in your cupboards for glass plates,
platters, cake stands, vases, bowls and other containers in various shapes and sizes.
Fill the pedestals with any number of autumn elements. We used acorns, miniature ornamental pumpkins
and assorted silk leaves. Other ideas include candy corn, fresh cranberries, Indian corn kernels, cinnamon
sticks, miniature gourds and pinecones.
Set the serving platters on the pedestals, making sure they're sitting steadily. (You may want to use
double stick tape or floral adhesive to hold them in place.)
To finish off the lovely look, we filled a glass vase with stems of dried Japanese lanterns and set out
orange candles in crystal candlesticks.
