Faux Chicken Nuggets
Here's a recipe from our Test Kitchen for "chicken nuggets" that's poultry-free. Faux Chicken Nuggets calls for pound cake in place of chicken, rolled in a "batter" of chopped peanuts. Kids will think they're having dinner for dessert.

April Fools Berry Soda
Here's a prank that will get your family to pucker up! These berry "beverages" look inviting to sip, but they're actually gelatin that's tricky to suck through a straw, so keep some spoons handy for April Fools Berry Soda.

Another April Fool's Idea:
Serve up an old standard with a new twist: Split a grilled bratwurst (or other sausage) in half and place in a banana split dish or small oval casserole. Between the two brat halves, place one heaping scoop each of macaroni salad, potato salad and coleslaw. Drizzle steak sauce and mustard over the two outer scoops. Over the center scoop, use a star tip to pipe a dollop of mashed potatoes. Pickle relish adds some color, and a cherry tomato tops it off just right.
