Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
  • 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • SAUCE:
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix lightly but thoroughly.
  2. Shape into scant 1-in. balls. Place in a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at 350° until meat is no longer pink, 20-25 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients; heat through. Serve with meatballs.
