I grew up on this 1. We always put chopped green peppers in ours as well. Gives it a much better flavor. So easy, fast and cheep meal.

made this and was extremely blah, so I tweaked it a little. I added some worcerterershire sauce, egg, garlic powder, chopped red and green peppers, and some Japanese panko crumbs to the hamburger mix and then layered it like someone suggested. I put the carrots on the bottom then the potatoes, onions and then the hamburg patty. cooked it for the time stated and got some flavor. Still not excellen, but a good small dinner. Will make again, just not too soon.

My family loves this, especially my dad who is a big meat-and-potatoes guy. We like to serve corn with it, it adds a little sweetness.

I always put my potatoes and carrots on the bottom...then the onions, (green pepper is also good to add here) a little minced garlic, and then the hamburger on top. Of course you can season this with salt and pepper. This way the juices flow down through the veggies and flavor them. Yummy EVERY time!

I love this! So easy when you're short on time. Any veggies can be substituted for the carrot and potato.

Great recipe. I use to make these at camp. I loved them then and it still tastes as good out of a oven as it does the campfire. Thanks for bringing back those memories and showing me a new way to make it!

I like to make this over a campfire. I just spray the foil with Pam before adding the ingredients and throw it on the fire for half an hour.

Easy, tasty meal. I used garlic salt on the burger and seasoned salt on the potatoes.
