Herb Baked Trout Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 whole trout
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 medium lemons, thinly sliced

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine basil, lemon juice, and olive oil in mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Lightly coat 13-inchx 9-inchx 2-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place trout fillets in baking dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Top with lemon slices, cover with one-half of basil mixture.
  • Bake 13-15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with fork.
  • Spoon remaining basil mixture over fish, serve immediately.
