This looked so much better than it tasted. The best review came from the Cub Scouts for whom it was made...they only picked out the candies! Popcorn just doesn't work in a snack mix; it does not maintain it's crunch and the spices make it "kid-unfriendly". Yuck.

This is a great snack. I did leave out the cloves as I don't care for the taste and changed the bridge mix for plain M & M's. I will make this again.

Have not made it yet, but think I will.

Bridge mix is chocolate coated nuts, and fruit, and apparently some other things:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridge_mix

I think you could substitute pretty much any chocolate candy with reasonable success. After all, the people you'd be serving it to don't know it's supposed to have bridge mix in it.  I was personally thinking of substituting some variety of M&m's, actually.
