I just love cooking with ground beef, especially when the result is a rib-sticking and economical dish like this. I serve it over poppy seed noodles for extra flavor.Jutta Doering, Kelowna, British Columbia

Not being big meat eaters, I used just 1 pound of ground beef. I, also, like more sauce so I used the water that rehydrated the dried mushrooms I had on hand. In addition I added 1/2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules. This was so easy to make and tasted great over noodles. The leftover stroganoff tasted even better the next day on the 'Angel biscuits' I had made using the recipe on Taste of Home website. Will definitely make again and soon.

Very good! Added onion powder, garlic powder, more salt and pepper, minus the mushrooms.

I substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream and 1 pound of ground turkey instead of 1.5 pounds of ground beef to reduce the fat and calories. My family loved it!

I thought this was just to bland compared to other stroganoff recipes.

This is really good. I like mine nice and saucy so I add a can of beef broth with the soup. I'm not a fan of mushrooms so I don't add those and it still tastes great. I have even used cream of mushroom soup instead of chicken and that is really good, too. This is one of my regulars.
