Since I ran across this recipe several years ago, I've used it often for special dinners. What I really like is the ease of preparation. You don't have a lot of cleanup because everything is done right there in the bag. —Sandy Olberding, Spencer, Iowa

I am going to make this in my slow cooker this year using a spiral slice ham. Years ago our local butcher told us to take a spiral slice ham and pour one can of crushed pineapple and one jar of honey over the top, and baste while cooking. Last year I made this in my slow cooker, and it was the most tender ham I've ever had. SO, I have the feeling this recipe will work beautifully too. I'm very excited about the apples/raisins/cinnamon sauce! YUM!!!

I cook my ham in the slow cooker with great results...could I put the other ingredients in with good results?

I made this for our Easter dinner and my husband loved it! He said that I could make it anytime. I have to say, it was one of the best hams I have ever made...and that sauce...wow! I told my husband that I am going to make just the sauce up and it would probably be good over ice cream or angel food cake! Definately two thumbs up!

Ham with apple raisin sauce is absolutely delicious and one my family asks for any chance they can. The only one who won't eat it is my daughter, as she is deathly allergic to raisins, so I make her the sauce without the raisins. We love this recipe and will be making it many more times.

I served this for a family dinner and it was a huge success. One family member even put some of the sauce on oatmeal the next morning, and said it was delicious.
