A twist on traditional meat loaf, this meat loaf lets you get out of the kitchen to enjoy the summer sun. My husband loves this dish served with grilled corn on the cob. —Melissa Maseda, Dixon, California

this is an excellent way of getting out of the kitchen in the summer. I changed it a bit adding spinach and shredded mozzarella to thel stuffing mix, also instead of rolling the meat mixture, i made it like a boat filled it and then put the topper on it and sealed the edges...yumbo....heat out of the kitchen....

I used mashed potatoes instead of mushrooms and let it grill about 10 minutes longer. My family requested it again!

I make this all the time. It perfect to make in the summer on the grill, and you don't have to heat up the whole house. When I make it in the oven I bake it at 350 for about 1 hour.

Yes, it can be cooked inthe oven. About 1 hour at 350 degrees. You can also add a little chopped celery to the mushroom onion mixture.
