METHOD: Grill (gas or charcoal)
TIME: Prep: 10 min. + marinating Grill: 10 min.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking cocoa
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules, finely crushed
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 boneless rib eye steaks (6 ounces each)
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Rub over both sides of steaks. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Grill steaks, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 5-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°). Yield: 4 servings.
