Grilled Flank Steak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons cooking sherry, optional
  • 1 cup fresh ginger root, grated, or 1 teaspoon ground
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-1/2 lbs beef flank steak

Directions

  • Remove from broiler and arrange on serving plate.
  • Place beef in large resealable plastic food storage bag; add remaining marinade. Seal bag, turn to coat. Marinate in refrigerator several hours or overnight.
  • Remove beef from marinade, discard marinade.
  • Preheat grill to medium high.
  • Cook 10 to 14 minutes (5 to 7 minutes per side) until medium-rare or to desired doneness. Turn once and baste with reserved 1/4 cup marinade. Slice steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
