I don’t really like cabbage, but I fixed this recipe and couldn’t believe how good it was! We threw some burgers on the grill and our dinner was complete. I never thought I’d skip dessert because I was full from eating too much cabbage!

In my opinion, a recipe shouldn't even be rated if changes are made to the recipe. That being said, I followed the instructions to a T and it is absolutely positively delicious!!

I do it in the oven all the time ! About 450 degrees, and I slice my wedges quite thin. Drizzle with the recipe ingredients and bake til the edges are blackened....WOW...talk about great flavor !! The blacker the better as far as we're concerned ! About 20 - 25 minutes.

We don't grill anymore due to apartment living--could this be done in the oven?

I made this tonight, and it was delicious! I used spreadable canola oil Land o Lakes butter so it was really easy to put on the cabbage wedges. I put 4 wedges in foil and wrapped it like a loaf. Did the same with the other 4 so I had 2 bundles. I sliced the onion really thin, but left it in slices instead of chopping. Drizzled a tiny bit of olive oil over the cabbage before wrapping it. Tasted amazing. Even my son, who doesn't like cabbage, was gobbling it up!!

Wow! If you're used to eating cabbage only in a coleslaw, you're in for a treat. Cabbage takes on an entirely new flavor when it's grilled like this, and it was very easy to prepare. We just bought a new grill, and I look forward to making this often!
