Tips: Substituted 1/4t stevia for 6T of the sugar. Used home grown & frozen pumpkin so using a blender created a smooth batter not achieved with the mixer. A great recipe for using an out of date cake mix.

A great alternative to traditional pumpkin pie. I substituted pecans, and also sprinkled brown sugar on top. However, I would recommend using unsalted butter for the topping. Still delicious, but a little too salty for our taste since I used regular, salted butter. Still an all-around wonderful dessert!

This is great as-is, but I was wondering if anyone had tried it with spice cake mix instead of yellow?
