100% would make again

I can remember my Grandma Wheeler making these delicious muffins—we'd eat them nice and warm, fresh from the oven! She was a "pinch of this" and "handful of that" kind of cook, so getting the ingredient amounts correct for the recipe was a challenge. Now it's a family treasure!

Tip

Big Batch Baked Goods

We enjoy homemade baked goods for breakfast, but I don’t have time to bake each morning before school. So I devote 1 day a month to making large batches of cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, cream cheese rolls and muffins. I place them in heavy-duty resealable plastic bags labeled with the date. (They freeze for about 2 months.) On busy mornings, it’s a snap to pop a few in the microwave to warm. The kids love the fresh-baked flavor. —Lori T., New London, Texas

These moist muffins are perfect along side your favorite comfort meal.

These were really delicious, light and fluffy...Will most certainly make again. Topped the muffin with slivered almonds

Really good muffins. Not too sweet or too bland, just perfect. They slightly remind me of cornbread, but are so light and fluffy that they really can't compare. Definitely going to be a family favorite!

These are great and so easy to make. My family really liked them. I liked them warm with a little butter and honey drizzled on them. Great recipe!

My family loves these muffins! I always make a double batch. We love to cut a small pocket in the side of them and insert a small pat of butter while they're still hot-mmmm delicious!
