Parmesan PointersWhen a recipe calls for shredded Parmesan cheese, use the cheese found in bags in the grocery store dairy section. Shredded Parmesan is often used in salads or soups where the shreds make a pretty garnish. If grated Parmesan is called for, use the finely grated cheese sold in containers with shaker/pourer tops. This type works well in lasagna and casseroles. (You can substitute either shredded or grated Parmesan in equal proportions in your favorite recipes.) If you decide to buy a chunk of Parmesan cheese and grate your own, be sure to use the finest section on your grating tool. You can also use a blender or food processor. Simply cut the cheese into 1-inch cubes and process 1 cup of cubes at a time on high until finely grated.

I also made this originally from Eating Well. It's delicious, I just made it again on New Year's Eve.

Absolutely delicious! In order to make a main dish, I sauteed 1.5lb of diced chicken thighs, then followed the recipe as written. Superb! Thank you for sharing this great recipe.

This recipe is soooo good, my entire family loved it. My husband asked if I could make it again the next night.

Very robust and flavorful dish! My entire family (even 2 picky little eaters) enjoyed this as a side dish to marinated grilled steaks. I made no modifications to the recipe and will definitely file this away as a keeper.

I made this on a Friday during Lent, and it was very quick and delicious. My Husband is not Catholic so I had hot italian sausage sliced on the side for him to mix in his serving. This is a great recipe, very simple, fast and tastes great! Thank you for sharing!

Like others, I too had to use more olive oil for sauteeing, but my husband and I both enjoyed the recipe. I may add more Italian seasoning next time, but otherwise it was great!

I just made this for last night's supper, but I got the recipe from Eating Well. I would like it better without the gnocchi, I think, and will make it without the next time.

This was a great filling 1 pot meal-with awesome flavor, texture, and color! I ended up using more evoo in the saute process and I only had regular diced tomatoes on hand, but added italian seasoning. Yum!
