Gifts Galore Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
  • Cupcakes of your choice
  • Coarse sugar
  • Fruit Roll-Ups
  • Starburst candies

Directions

  • Frost cupcakes; dip the tops in coarse sugar. Cut a Fruit Roll-Up into thin strips. Place two strips widthwise around desired amount of Starburst candies; press together at base to attach. Form two Fruit Roll-Up strips into a bow; press together in center and press onto wrapped candy.
  • Arrange gifts on cupcakes. Store in an airtight container. Yield: varies.

    How-To: To make candy gifts, cut a Fruit Roll-Up into thin strips and wrap around Starburst candies. Create a bow with two Fruit Roll-Up strips and press onto wrapped candy. See candy gifts»

Made these for coworkers and they loved them! It was time consuming but fun!

I made 30 for my granddaughter's pre-school and 20 for my bereavement group. They were so cute, no one wanted to eat them. After I frosted them, I dipped them in red, yellow and green sugars before putting on the packages. They were gorgeous! I'll definitely keep this idea for another time! Birthdays would be good, too!

These are very easy to make, but I change the gifts on top to something much easier to eat. Soft candy works very, very well.
