If you're looking for a pretty dish to make when having guests for brunch, try this. Everyone I've served it to has enjoyed it...expect for one time, that is, when my husband tried to make it following my recipe, which I'd written down incorrectly! If you don't leave out the flour like I did, it'll turn out terrific!

I used less sugar and should have used less butter, because I felt there was too much butter. I added golden raisins, which made up for the lessened amount of sugar, added to the flavor and visual appeal, and it really tasted great. Will make it again.

I've never made anything like this before, but thought it would be a good way to use up the apples I had on hand. I only had 2 eggs to use, but it turned out just fine! I also substituted 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon for the nutmeg & didn't use lemon wedges. This was soooo yummy, I can't wait to make it again!

This recipe is quick, easy and delicious! Made a couple of additions: I used about 4 apples just because they were getting too soft and we don't eat them when they are soft. I also added a little vanilla to the apples while they cooked , didn't use an powder sugar just used sugar in the raw.
