My two young boys are enthusiastic about learning to cook. So whenever I head for the kitchen, they volunteer to measure, scoop, pour and stir. And with this fun breakfast idea, they also practice their "painting"... without ruining my walls!

Funny Face Toast Recipe
  • Prep/Total Time: 5 min.
  • Yield: 1 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon milk for each color desired
  • 3 to 4 drops food coloring of any colors desired
  • Bread

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine milk and food coloring. With a small spoon, cotton swabs or clean small paintbrush, "paint" a face on a piece of bread. Toast. Yield: 1 serving.

I tried to mke this for my mom one morning, and my sister and I forgot to add the milk and when my mom ate it she didn't want to hurt our feelings but she told us that it tasted like medicine. My sister and I started lauging so hard!

Wouldn't that be hard to toast, being wet from the milk? It might be netter to paint tge face on AFTER the bread is toasted (lightly)
