Fun-on-the-Run Snack Mix Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Wheat Chex
  • 2 cups miniature fish-shaped crackers
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, crackers, pretzels, peanuts and cranberries. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 8 cups.

Nutritional Facts 1/2 cup equals 143 calories, 6 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 207 mg sodium, 20 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 4 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 starch, 1 fat.

it is an easy snack mix to throw together,but it really didn't taste all that great. i mean if we're going to waste calories and carbs on a salty snack, don't you want it to taste good!
