I love to bake treats like these brownies to share with co-workers. When I was growing up, I helped my mother make delicious, hearty meals and desserts like this for our farm family of eight.—Judy Cunningham, Max, North Dakota

Super easy and just the right consistency. I have finally found a brownie recipe to replace the box! They did take 10-15 minutes longer to cook, but we are at high altitude, and that always messes with recipes.

The best brownie recipe ever! Followed recipe exactly and they were perfect!! Done in 30 minutes

These definitely weren't done in 25-30 minutes' time. I had to put them back in for 12 more minutes, and I still don't know if they're really done. But with all the butter, sugar, and cocoa, I'm sure my family will think they're yummy.

Made this recipe, easy to follow, had all the ingredient in my cupboards. Husband and I LOVED IT.

Everyone has agreed these are the best brownies ever! I agree with another reviewer-- we will not buy box mixes anymore. I did have to bake them about 15 min longer--maybe because I used a stoneware style pan. I also dropped little chocolate chip cookie dough balls on the top because we had some left over from a batch of cookies. Very tasty!!

Very good, basic brownie recipe. I've been making this recipe since it was first printed and it's the one I go to most often.
