The outstanding barbecue taste of these beans makes them a favorite for cookouts all summer and into the fall. It's a popular dish with everyoneeven kids. Having meat in with the beans is so much better than plain pork and beans. Donna Fancher, Lawrence, Indiana

Used this for years. Everyone wants the recipe, however, I change it a little. I put in no lima beans, instead I add black or small red beans, I also substitue 1T dry mustard for the prepared mustard. It gives it a little more zip!

Out of everything I made on 4th of July this was the biggest hit. Didn't change a thing and it was yummy!

A family favorite! Also does well in a slow cooker.

Best ever baked beans. This dish is requested for almost every function I attend. I also omit white sugar and increase brown sugar.

I made this for our family reunion. Everyone loved it! A nice change from regular baked beans.

Oh so good! I eliminated the white sugar and substituted chili beans for the lima beans since I didn't have lima beans on had. This dish is absolutely delish! Tip: Don't worry if the bacon doesn't fully cook in the frying pan with the ground beef and onion, it will finish cooking in the oven.

I've never been a big fan of baked beans, but this recipe has changed that! I served this for a picnic and everybody loved it. I, too, eliminated the white sugar and used a little extra molasses. I also substituted black beans for the lima beans and added a little chicken broth because it looked too dry. Turned out great!

This has become an absolute family favorite. It is a must for all family get-togethers. I essemble this ahead of time, and refrigerate in large zip lock bags. Then pour into baking dish and bake when I arrive at a function. I have also cooked this in the slow cooker with great results

This recipe is almost identical to 'Old Settler's Beans'. Both are outstanding and so easy, great family food.

My favorite baked bean recipe. I omit the white sugar and use a little extra molasses. Always a hit and simple to prepare. I always make it in a crock pot just for convenience, if it is a little juicy I just remove the lid & turn it up to a gentle boil and this will thicken it up nicely.

I've seen several recipes with these same basic ingredients, but this is my favorite. The barbecue sauce adds special flavor.
