Our daughter's friends all "plowed" through a batch of these sandwiches at her "barnyard birthday party". The tangy barbecue sauce, fluffy biscuits and cheddar cheese make them real kid-pleasers. Karen Kenney, Harvard, Illinois

We thought these were wonderful. We had enough to reheat and they were just as good reheated. I did add chopped onion and green pepper to the meat mixture while cooking.. The recipe is in my file....A 5 star recipe.

My family loves this recipe. However, I decrease the amount of brown sugar to 1- 1 1/2 TBS, add a little bit of onions and a couple of drops of liquid smoke.

I've made these since the recipe appeared in TOH back in the early 90s. They were a favorite for my children's birthday parties. Yummy for a quick after-basketball dinner...you can even freeze and reheat. I used to heap a ton of cheese on top. Great recipe, and great memories!
