Easy Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Place the asparagus on an ungreased baking sheet. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; turn to coat. Bake at 425° for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Yield: 4 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1 serving equals 43 calories, 4 g fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 154 mg sodium, 2 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 vegetable, 1/2 fat.

I always roast mine but at 400 for 20 mins or so and I use garlic powder, YUMMY!!!

I used young, thin stalked asparagus. At this temp. it was very overdone. Nothing special about the flavor.

I have been making this for a few years and it is very good. Sometimes I sprinkle on a bit of parmesan or garlic salt after it has cooked.

this is delish! It is so fast and easy. I place foil on the cookie sheet b/f baking and then clean up is easy too!

I just tried this recipe and it is the best I've ever tried for asparagus! Usually my husband just eats the tops, but he ate the whole stalk with this recipe!
