Easy Rice and Peas Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups uncooked instant rice
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Directions

  • Bring water, butter and salt to a boil in a large saucepan. Add rice and peas. Cover and remove from the heat. Let stand for 5-7 minutes or until all of the water is absorbed. Yield: 4 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1 serving (3/4 cup) equals 233 calories, 3 g fat (2 g saturated fat), 8 mg cholesterol, 662 mg sodium, 45 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 6 g protein.
