This pie is an old-fashioned dessert. I sometimes top warm slices with a sprinkling of cinnamon or nutmeg. Best of all, it's easy to assemble when dinner-time is fast approaching.Virgina M Krites, Cridersville, Ohio

If you like flan... then you will probably like this. My kids did not like it at all. I personally thought it was ok.. (i like flan). It was fast and easy to make but it was not a 5 star recipe.. Better coconut recipes out there.

I first made this back in 1998 when it was first published in TOH. It's so simple & quick to make it feels like cheating! Yummy, tastes great warm or cold. We like it with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
