My Mom recently added broken pecan pieces instead of peanuts to a recipe that we have similar to this one-she said they were very good with the pecans.

I use white choc ,milk choc ,1# of each,melted then add 1 cup of peanut butter mix well then add your peanuts SO GOOD!!

dianearnet,. Yes you can use a microwave too.
You can do it in a doubled boiler. Just melt the chocolate and stir in the other things and drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet with wax paper and put in refergeter for 30 minutes and that's it.

I use the oven on low temp - 175 or so.. Stir every 10 mins or so to check how soft.I also use Chocolate bark instead of vanilla.
