Easy Apple Crisp Recipe

Rating 5

This is a delicious dessert perfect for young cooks to prepare. It's easy to make since there's no crust—just a crumbly topping. Plus, with applies and oats, it's a wholesome treat.—Sheri Hatten, Devil's Lake, North Dakota

This turned out wonderfully! I followed the recipe exactly and I served it at a BBQ dinner and it got great reviews. The topping was a great caramel brown. Next time, I might try decreasing the white sugar to 1/4 cup, as it seemed like a lot of sugar when I poured it over the apples.

Simple and good. I made half the recipe in a 9x9 pan, and used 1 cup of oats.

I just took it out of the oven and it's very runny. I used Gala apples--perhaps too juicy, or I should have added some cornstarch. I'll serve it to my guests anyway, but I am disappointed.

This recipe is to die for! I substituted old fashioned rolled oats for the quick-cooking oats just to add more texture as quick cooking oats aren't quite as good, but followed the rest of the recipe to a "t" and oh baby! Plop a big scoop of French Vanilla ice cream on top and this is as good as it gets, and easy! Thanks for sharing the recipe! Will be making this one for years to come!
