Dutch Hot Chocolate Recipe

Dutch Hot Chocolate Recipe Rating 3

When my grandchildren come over, they like to snack on cookies and mugs of this hot chocolate. It has a sweet chocolate flavor with a hint of cinnamon. The flavor of store-bought mixes just can't compare.—Edna Hoffman, Hebron, Indiana

This was pretty good if you don't like overly chocolate tasting hot chocolate. I made a few changes...I only had unsweetened chocolate, omitted cinnamon (preference), and cut down on sugar. I only made 1/3 of the recipe...didn't need that many servings! I cut the sugar but a couple of T but I was surprised since I was using unsweetened chocolate. This was a nice subtle flavor which I loved, the hubby still prefers the powdered instant!
