For a new twist on an old favorite, try these skewered hot dogs wrapped with breadstick dough and baked. They're fun to dip in ketchup, mustard or ranch dressing. The dressed-up dog recipe comes kid-tested from the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.

I made these for a New Year's brunch. However, I used precooked turkey sausages I used the short skewers and 1/2 of a piece of bread stick dough to wrap around the sausages. In fact, I ran out of the bread sticks and also had a can of cressant rolls so I finished the last ones with the cressant rolls. I called them piggies in a sweater. There wasn't even one left to take home to snack on later. They were DEFINITELY a hit! Thanks.

Simple recipe but very popular with kids. I left out the popsicle stick part and the kids still gobbled them up. Easy recipe for kids to help in the kitchen with.
