Dirt Cake is fun to serve at family gatherings, or to give as a gift. I've also taken it to church dinners. It not only tastes good but is unique.

My youngest son of 5, age 26, still loves Dirt Cake! He called me yesterday from the grocery store & asked what he needed to make Dirt Cake, then brought me the ingredients to make it for him. Love to please my sons with their favorite things :)

I used 1 lemon sugar free pudding and 1 vanilla sugar free, which added a wonderful touch. I wouldn't think of chocolate and Lemon together, but it was a real hit.
I have taken this dessert to two functions and people raved about it,asking for the recipe. One hostess requested I bring it to next years Christmas party.

I did not use the butter or vanilla, and I used chocolate pudding instead of vanilla. I was delicious.

I've made this a few time. It's also good with a beach theme. Use cream-filled vanilla sandwich cookies and put it in a sand bucket. I brought gummy sharks, sand dollars and such for it.
