Deluxe Potato Ham Bake Recipe
  • Prep: 10 min. Bake: 1 hour
  • Yield: 10-12 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 1 package (32 ounces) frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup crushed cornflakes

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Stir in ham and potatoes. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
  • For topping, combine butter and cornflakes until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of ham mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Yield: 10-12 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1 serving (1 cup) equals 305 calories, 18 g fat (11 g saturated fat), 64 mg cholesterol, 732 mg sodium, 24 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 11 g protein.

I've made this dish several times and we love it! The second time I made it I left out the ham and substituted half pound each of ground sausage and bacon. My husband loved it as a breakfast casserole almost better than the original way!!

Very good - nice if you have leftover ham to use up! I added a pinch of salt as well.

Great for a pot luck dish. I used a little less cheese. This is very creamy and comforting. Will make again!
