My boyfriend really liked this apple pie; however, it was a little sweet for me. I think the next time I may cut down on the amount of sugar in the topping.

This is a fantastic pie! It is very sweet, so as other reviewers have written, use tart apples. I made this pie following the recipe exactly and my family loved it.

My daughter's friends and teacher loved this pie. I thought it a bit too sweet but that's just me. I did have a problem with the crust browning too quickly so next time I'll reduce the initial cooking temp. Think it is a problem with my oven tho. :)

Such a simple recipe, such delicious results! This is the best apple pie I've had. A couple of hints:Make sure you use tart apples - granny smiths do really well in this recipe. Mound the apples up in your crust. It will sink down when it cooks in the oven. It also helps to put a piece of foil beneath the pie in the oven to avoid bubble over in your oven!

This makes the best Apple Pie!!! The crust recipe alone is worth it and I will be using this crust recipe for other pies I make!

This apple pie is award winning. I made this pie for Thanksgiving and I never got so many compliments. Quite a few people told me this was the best Apple Pie they ever had. I will definitely make again!

I made this for a pot luck and everyone raved over it. I'm making two for Thanksgiving this year!

Everyone raved about this pie and all wanted the recipe. So simple and so good. Definitely use a tart apple.

I bought five large Granny Smith apples and they were enough for two pies. My nine-year-old niece, who says she doesn't like apple pie, couldn't get enough of this. She insists we MUST have it for Thanksgiving dinner. The crumb topping is a real treat.
