Ingredients

  • 1-1/3 cups chopped peeled tart apples
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • Dash salt
  • 1 package (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted

Directions

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the apples, walnuts, raisins, 3 tablespoons sugar, flour, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon and salt. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until almost tender.

I'll try one more time. Crisscross did not open! Did not have 1/4 c. apple mixture to put in center. Mistake in recipe??? I used about 1/8 c. in center. (You'd have to have 2 whole cups of apples to allow 1/4 c. filling in each!)

Slightly doughy. I did like the tartness and the snap of the apple. Would modify this next time

I love quick and easy recipes like this one! I used Pillsbury Grands...they were delicious!! My family loved them. I used 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. brown sugar in the apple mixture instead of 3 tbsp. regular sugar and increased cinnamon to 1 tsp. Fabulous!!

These are great! I used Grand Jr. tube biscuits which made 10 instead of 8 and they turned out just like the picture.

My family loves this recipe. They are great for making ahead and serving for breakfast when everyone is in a hurry.

These were very good and I would make again but use just a little less cinnamon.
